Batten Strapping is recommended for those installing clear woven-poly greenhouse coverings. Strapping is installed on the exterior of a single-layer covered structure. Batten Strapping helps to keep the plastic secure to the hoop house frame and reduces movement.

The breakage strength would be at least 200 lbs. You could certainly use it however you like but it is designed for greenhouses.
