Summers are hot in East Texas and black landscape would be nightmare in the vegetable garden. This heavy duty, white fabric will cover the area where I'm growing watermelons. It will be nice to not have waist high weeds in the patch when the neighborhood kids sneak in at night to steal a melon or two.
